Rockford the Bull - born May 1, 2025
These photos were taken around the middle of June, 2026.  Thus Rockford is about 13.5 months old in the photos.
Rockford has the same parents as Orbison who was born a year earlier and was sold the day he was advertised.  Tim Luke of Luke Farms, at Crane Valley was the buyer.  Tim is at timluke31@gamail.com.
As Rockford is a duplicate of Orbison, I won't blather on his heritage but to get the full story, simply check the description that was given of Orbison (to reach go back to home page and click on the Orbison button).
Yes, he is a bull!
Our animals are super tame and none of them, Rockford included, show any aggression issues.  We do not buy and sell animals.  We bought a new bull, from another stable longhorn herd, in 2025, but that was the first import since Toronto, who was purchased in 2014. The herd is as "organic" and natural as you are going to find.  They have 60 acres of highly varied pasture and carefully prepared hay during the winter.  Health issues are a non issue and drugs are an unknown on our farm.  The longhorns tend to be hardy and they are well fed and well housed and cared for.  These policies work.  The herd is for our own meat production and quality is what matters.
Toronto is Rockford's father.  This photo was taken at the same time as the Rockford photos, around the middle of June, 2026.  Toronto was born April of 2012 and is 14 years old in this photo.  Still going strong!
Here is a photo of Toronto when he was two or three years old.
Here is a photo of Rockford's mother, Fudge, taken the middle of June, 2026.  She is 12 years old in this photo.  As with father, Toronto, still going strong.  Her 2026 female calf is shown with her.
Here is a photo of Fudge, shot a few years back, again, with her calf of that year.
Here is the certificate for Toronto's father.  Toronto could have been registered as a purebred longhorn but the Friesens were about to get out of cattle at that point in time and didn't bother with the paperwork. Toronto has been a wonderful bull.  He has produced a lot of fine offspring and has been a very easy bull to look after.
